Check it out! Cranium Studio just finished this Bumperslide video titled “How Bumperslide Works”. Our designers worked alongside the Bumperslide marketing team to create this animated video which took two weeks to complete – from initial ideas to storyboards to completion. The animation was originally created with sketches. Then, using Illustrator to clean up the graphics, they integrated it into Adode After Effects for the finishing touches.

The Work

Cranium Studio initially worked with McDermott in 1993, as their first branding company, to establish a strong identity presence in the market. The project included designing corporate identity collateral. Again, in 2007, Cranium Studio helped McDermott evolve in an ever changing industry environment with qualitative brand research and positioning. Recently, Cranium Studio helped McDermott rebrand again. With an ever evolving industry, McDermott has invested in market focused strategy, refined positioning, and updated their visual brand.

We began by completing research. We defined the current brand perception and key differentiators, created a competitor analysis and gathered a collection of all of the current brand elements for a visual audit. Through this process, Cranium Studio strategically redefined the company’s branding strategy, brand architecture and brand tools. We also redefined McDermott’s corporate communications material to include the new logo, new corporate colors, fonts, stationary and website template.

Founded in 1990 by four dynamic women, Smart-Girl is a nonprofit organization specializing in empowering adolescents. With over a decade of experience, Smart-Girl has trained more than 700 peer mentors and Guides, and has worked with over 3,900 girls. Our Smart Girl Leadership Institute (SGLI), along with a successful research-based and tested program, emphasizes social and emotional intelligence using a near-peer model. As a result, adolescents become confident, capable and self-reliant and are able to make smart choices throughout life.

Alex founded his company in 1989. He oversees branding, creative execution and operations. He has taught courses in branding and marketing at local colleges and universities. Alex has also participated as a curriculum advisor to several universities and a mentor to students and interns.
