Cranium Studio Helps Make Zany Viral Videos for Champions
Cranium Studio partnered with film specialist Dan Knudson to create a new video called the Zany Viral Video for the Champions Science Adventures programs. This video was directed towards young students that have an urge to learn. It acts as somewhat of a teaser for kids who want to participate in the same activities, therefore raising their interest levels. The main reason the kids love the projects Champions provides for them is because it allows the students to explore their own creativity. The video created actually portrayed the way the kids felt about the Champions Science Adventures projects. The illustrations helped make the video fun, interesting and creative for viewers. In the video, the kids displayed and explained the Mars Rovers that they individually built. There are two types of Champions Science Adventures projects they offer: Gizmos Rocket Factory and Space and Rocketry ’09, where the children can participate half day or full day. The main idea of this video is to reflect on how the kids really felt about their accomplishments and how much they enjoyed the program. Cranium Studio made sure the Zany Viral Video followed Champions' brand guidelines with the look and feel of inspiration.

Grass Roots Efforts Helping Great Cause
The HelpGreenDog campaign, initiated on behalf of Freedom Service Dogs, is still in high stride. In their efforts to raise $250,000 Freedom Service Dogs has received great support from local businesses. With their campaign being launched a few months back, Freedom Service Dogs is still working hard to raise $250,000 to rescue, train and place their service dogs with people in need. This 501(c)3 non-profit organization rescues unwanted and abandoned dogs from shelters and custom trains them to assist people with disabilities and our returning injured service members from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In the efforts to keep this campaign strong, businesses are getting involved and supporting HelpGreenDog. Jamba Juice and Champps have recently hosted our Green Dog Days, where they have donated a portion of their proceeds for that day directly to Freedom Service Dogs. Also, businesses like the local Floyd’s 99 Barbershops have helped us with the awareness phase of the campaign, by being a great hot spot to display our bright green wood dogs. In addition, King Soopers, Croc’s Mexican Bar & Grill in downtown Denver, Hi*Rise, Tony’s Meat Market, Car Wash Express, Mutt-Mutt Palace, Rock Bottom Brewery, Cranium Studio, Marczyk Fine Foods, Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply, Blue Bonnet Café & Lounge, Runners Roost, Peaberry Coffee, Il Vicino, Dear Creek Middle School, Vain Salon, Loft 22, Pete’s Bar and Grill and Dog Savvy have all been strong supporters of this awareness campaign.
To help this great cause, Freedom Service Dogs offers three options to support HelpGreenDog:
1) DONATE!!! Check out HelpGreenDog.com and click on the direct link to donate. Anything helps. If your company is interested, sponsor opportunities are available as well.
2) Visit our selected businesses on our Green Dog Days and make a purchase. (You can view the upcoming Green Dog Days dates and locations at helpgreendog.com)
3) If you are located or work in a high traffic area, volunteer to place one of our green wood dogs at your location and present our awareness cards to anyone and everyone to help spark curiosity through the months of August and September.

Fixed Gear Bikes In Design Culture
Riding the "no brakes" fixie has succumb the lifestyle benefits and has gone into the art world. Custom DESIGNED fixies are a new trend that is developing very seriously. You can change the color, shape, size, fitting and gearing of every part on a fixed gear bike. A fixed gear is fun to ride, lightweight and the most dependable bike as an everyday rider.
With the economy plummeting, people are migrating towards the city and living in the metro areas. As a result, people are putting money into their bikes instead of their cars. You can get around the city faster on a fixie than in a car and it is also completely gas, insurance and maintenance free. Fixies are beginning to dominate the downtown area.
So, naturally, people want their everyday ride to represent themselves and their own unique personalities. There are no limits to what you can do to your bike. I happen to be quite the minimalist and am drawn to very simple things. I also love the color white, I wear white shoes, shirts, pants, you name it. So here is a pic of my bike outside of the studio. My friend Andrew and fellow designer loves things a little more sparatic. He enjoys colorful and finely detailed things and loves the extreme aspect of biking. So, hence, he has a trick bike. He bombs stairs, does wheelies, keo spins, bar spins and skids. His bike has an extremely strong frame to withstand all of this abuse.
There are different genres of fixed gear bikes as well. There is the yuppie/snob, the conversion ghetto rides, trick bikes, track bikes, clown bikes, classic bikes, the standard messenger bike, the hipster bike, the Gypsy bike. This entire new genre of bike design has exploded in the design community and it isn't going anywhere for a long time. The custom fixie just might be a permanent American standard soon.
